Fix for ticket https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362458...

Fix for ticket https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362458 Python 2.4 does not support a try/finally with a yield in the try. I have changed this to a try with an empty except, followed by the statement that was in the finally.
